The key to growing longer hair is keeping it healthy.
To keep hair healthy it’s important to change your hair routines.
-Use elastics that won’t pull, strain or break your hair. Scrunchies are much better for the hair than regular elastics since they are soft and don’t pull on your hair.
-Brush your hair. It’s so so important to brush your hair because it removes tangles and makes it so much nicer and smoother. Not brushing your hair causes breakage and tangles which stop your hair from growing fast! Use detangling spray if brushing isn’t enough to get the tangles out.
-Use heat to a minimum. If you style your hair with heat very often you are slowly damaging your hair. Damaged hair eventually needs to be cut off, which lengthens the time it will take for your hair to get where you want it to be. If you use heat a lot, try cutting down slowly.
-Wash your hair only when it needs to be washed. What I mean by this is that if you have dry hair don’t start washing it every day or every two days. Only wash when it needs to be washed, don’t wash it for fun (lol). If you have oily hair and need to wash it more often like maybe every day, that’s fine as long as you use a good shampoo. I recommend a natural shampoo like Giovanni
-Use good products. Use products that your hair will thank you for! I recommend using natural products that don’t have any harmful chemicals in them. Be careful with which styling products you use. Again, go with the most natural option as it has less chemicals and is better for you. You can completely remove dry shampoo from your hair regimen by using cocoa powder or baby powder instead. It’s much healthier for you and cocoa smells good! 😎Remember the key to long hair is healthy hair 😊 I use Giovanna products.
-Give your hair some love. Applying oil like coconut oil, argon oil or olive oil is really good for the hair. It keeps the hair healthy, shiny and smooth. You can keep it in your hair for as long as you like. I recommend 45 minutes before you wash your hair.
-Simplicity is key. The simpler you are with your hair, the more healthy it will be. Do hairstyles that aren’t harmful to your hair and won’t break or tangle it. Lay off the harmful products and use heat to a minimum.
Hope this helped! Keep in mind long hair takes time and at the end of the day you just have to wait for your hair to actually grow 😉
Love always,
Annabel xoxo
